Four Virginia ODP teams, featuring boys from the 2009 and 2010 age groups and girls from the 2008 and 2010 age groups, journeyed to Lisbon and Braga, Portugal, for the 18th annual ODP International Trip. Each team competed in four matches while also exploring a new culture, delving into the region’s history, and building connections with opponents despite language differences. These trips are held annually, each year in different locations throughout Europe, and are designed to expose the players to high-level European soccer while encouraging personal development, independence, and maturity for the players both on and off the pitch.
