The US U-15 Men’s National Team won the 12th edition of the Trofeo delle Nazioni Tournament defeating Austria (3-2) on May in the finals. The Trofeo delle Nazioni is a U-15 National Team event held every year during the last week of April. This year’s edition saw the participation of 12 Nations including Brazil, England, Mexico, Costa Rica, Japan.
The US lost to Slovenia (2-3) but defeated Costa Rica 4-1, Croatia 6-2 in the group stage allowing them to qualify for the semi-finals against Italy, eventually beating the host Nation 0(5)-0(4) in PKs. The finale resulted in a 3-2 win with two goals from Andrew Carleton – 12″, 20″ and Tim Weah 61″.
